POLISHING

From staircases to marble fireplaces, honed concrete flooring to granite worktops, our technicians are able to polish any type of stone surface. Over a period of time all natural stone will lose some of its original lustre, our technicians will use techniques to restore the stone to its natural condition. Serving all of our new and existing clients with timely, flawless and hassle-free services.

COLOUR MATCH & SEALING

​

Mr Scratch technicians are able to colour match all cracks, chips and grouting to any specific colour required. Using coloured epoxy resins and specialised paints, we can also colour match previously damaged tiles and flooring to blend in perfectly within its surrounding area.

There are many different sealers available to help condition and protect your natural stone surfaces. The two most popular kinds are penetrating and topical. The first being a thin liquid which penetrates deep into the surface, blocking contaminents whilst allowing the stone to breathe. The second being a protective coating, which when built up in layers protects the stone with a thin layer on top of the surface.

CHIP & CRACK REPAIR

Thankfully, repairing chipped surfaces needn't mean disruption or upheaval. There's no reason to replace tiles, sinks or baths. Instead we can repair whilst in situ. 

​

If you have a cracked tile, chipped worktop, chipped window cill or cracked stone lintel Mr Scratch technicians are able to assist. We can complete a variety of repairs on a variety of surfaces.

 

Whether your stone has been damaged during installation, restoration or general wear and tear we are able to repair and resurface your damaged stone.  

STAIN REMOVAL

Stains can cause deterioration, if you have oil, wine, rust, chewing gum, paint or bbq fat on your stone surface our Mr Scratch technicians are skilled to complete chemical cleaning, mechanical cleaning, pressure washing and acid cleaning.

Our most common stain removal requests;

  • Wine stains on stone stairs and stone fireplaces

  • Oil stains on block paving

  • Fat removal from block paving

CONDITIONING & MAINTENANCE

Natural stone is a porous material that can show imperfections over time. Without proper maintenance it will lose its shine and become dull and dirty. Stains from food and drink and the incorrect use of cleaning products will affect the health and appearance of your stone worktops and floors.

 

Obtaining the best finish is paramount, but very often, a simple conditioning and protector of the stone is what’s required to prevent future damage for many years to come.
